Beauty in the midst of a storm . . . .

A week ago we had a nasty storm blow
through. A huge branch (as you can see
from the picture) broke off.

The whole branch

Here's where it split

And yet, in the midst of the storm,
flowers are still blooming!

We planted about 15 sunflower seeds this
year, and only three came up. This was the
tallest by far, standing between 6 and 6 1/2
feet tall. I just love sunflowers!!

So true! I often find that the most beautiful sunsets around here are after a storm. It reminds me that the "storms" in my life (however unpleasant they may be), are only part of God's greater plan for my life, a plan to give me a hope, and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Love in Him,

I love your sunflowers! They're so pretty! And I'm glad that the branch was away from your house!
I'm going to go look at the pictures of Anja now.
Love,
Briana

Hey Aliisa! Thanks for leaving a comment and saying hi. We, too, enjoyed meeting you at Ulmer's. And you've read our blogs for a year already without saying hi before?! Maybe that is why you knew our names so well and so fast! :D
